People sometimes ask where the name NANI comes from. The answer is my Aunt Nani.
She was one of the kindest, wisest, and strongest people I've known. Her care was never loud. It showed up in small, steady ways, in how she paid attention to the people around her and made them feel looked after. That kind of care stays with you long after the moment has passed.
Care, carried forward
When I started building this brand, I kept coming back to a simple idea: the care we receive from the people who love us can become the care we learn to give ourselves. That idea is the golden thread you'll see throughout NANI, passed from one hand to the next.
My family has Persian and Hispanic roots, and in both, care often lives in small, everyday rituals: the things we do for one another without being asked, again and again, until they become part of who we are.
Why a scalp-care ritual
My background is in public health. I hold a Doctor of Public Health in Epidemiology and a master's degree in Health Informatics, and I've worked across research and the pharmaceutical field. That experience taught me to value clear information and honest claims.
So NANI begins with one product and one simple intention: to make scalp care feel considered, personal, and easy to return to. Two minutes a day is a small thing. But small things, done with care, are exactly what she taught me to notice. You'll find every ingredient listed on our site, with references you can read yourself, and no promises we can't keep.
A little care. A new beginning.
NANI is named in her memory. Every bottle is a small reminder to make room for care in an ordinary day, the way she did for so many of us.
Thank you for being part of the story.
With care,
Peyman
